Good morning,
I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas. Thank you to everyone who helped make our two services on Christmas Eve great times of worship!
Just a quick update this week, here’s what’s happening:
- Budget documents for 2024 are in the lobby. There are two docs – one compares 2024 with 2023 and includes some notes. The other is a budget history for the past several years. We will be holding a vote of affirmation for the budget on 1/14/24 after the worship service.
- We will not be having Sunday School this again this week as part of our holiday break.
- Reservations for the 25th Anniversary banquet begin this Sunday, 12/31. Please see Mary Lois Kreider to reserve your seat. Cash appreciated, checks can be made out to Andrews Bridge Christian Fellowship. Please do not put the money in the offering box. $25/adults and $15/kids 12 and under.
- We would like to set up a memorabilia table (or 2) for the Banquet. See Pastor Scott if you have old photos or other items of ABCF history that you would like to bring to the banquet.
- We will be installing Bruce Fite as Elder on Sunday, 1/7.
- 1/7/24 is Vision Sunday. During the morning worship service I will be sharing a message about where I believe that God is leading us over the next number of years. Please plan to attend!
- Junior Youth meet after the worship service on 1/7. Senior High Youth meeting after the service on 1/14.
This week we will conclude our Advent sermon series by looking at a number of prophecies that Matthew mentions in his telling of Jesus’ escape to Egypt and return to Nazareth. Many folks are spending these last few days of 2023 thinking of what resolutions they want to make for 2024 in order to have a more fulfilling life. On Sunday we’ll look at the only resolution that will allow us to experience true fulfillment!
